About the documentary ‘Jacksonville’
Backrow Studios has announced the release of the documentary ‘Jacksonville.’ On Wednesday, August 12th, the documentary will premiere exclusively to their Facebook page, @BackrowStudios. The ‘Jacksonville’ documentary is based on a week in the life of Jacksonville Florida defense attorney Vernon Jackson and his leadership involvement in the widely criticized non-profit youth organization Building Powerful Minds (BPM). BPM focuses on empowerment of youth in the black community by inspiring brilliance and teaching important life skills that ultimately foster leadership, discipline, and defense through activities that promote lasting mental and physical health. While there are a number of similar organizations nationwide aiming to build our youth, BPM has gained notoriety for promoting firearm education and usage and hand to hand combat as means of hobby, not violence. Although BPM has been misunderstood by many, ‘Jacksonville’ provides inside visibility for anyone who has questioned the tactics used by BPM, or the benefits received by the youth in the program. Is BPM making a harmful or helpful impact? - Watch the ‘Jacksonville’ documentary to determine if BPM is making a valuable contribution to the communities it serves.
